This Supermicro Storage server SSG-641E-E1CR36L is with expander backplane supporting 36 hot-swap SAS and SATA drives. With optional components also 6 NVMe drives are supported. On rear panel is additional 2 hot-swap SATA drive bays option. The server includes Broadcom 3808 SAS 12Gb/s HBA controller card. The server has also external JBOD expansion ports. On board dual 10Gb/s Broadcom BCM57416 (2x RJ45) and dedicated RJ45 port for IPMI 2.0 remote management with KVM and remote virtual media mount.
