What Does 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U Mean?
- The terms 1U, 2U, 3U, and 4U refer to the height of the server in rack units (U). Each "U" is equivalent to 1.75 inches. A 1U server is 1.75 inches tall, a 2U server is 3.5 inches tall, and so on. These measurements help in understanding how much space the server will occupy in the rack.
